Hayley and Charlie’s engagement session is probably one of the most fun that I have ever photographed! The day we had scheduled ended up a little cold, damp and windy but never the less Hayley and Charlie were incredible! While I was looking like Rudolph with a cold, red nose, Hayley and Charlie looked amazing the entire time-I’m going to have to ask the secret to that one! I couldn’t be happier with them or their session! I can hardly wait until Hayley’s bridal session this spring and their summer wedding at The Oaks Plantation in June! I have wanted to photograph a wedding at the Oaks for a while, so I was excited when Hayley contacted me and told me they would be getting married there! In fact, I did a little happy hand clap when she booked! =) Everything I have seen there has been beautiful and I can only imagine how beautiful this wedding will be! YAY!!!
Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session-

This was one of my favorites!

Another favorite

I LOVED Charley's expression in this one! He is so fun!

Love it!

There were so many more photos of them that I loved, so it was hard to pick favorites. Once again, congratulations Hayley and Charlie!
Also, part of Hayley and Charlie’s session was photographed in Montgomery, AL and right down the street from Alley Station, one Montgomery’s new event venues. If you are planning a Montgomery area wedding, it looks like an incredible venue, so check it out!

For my past clients that follow the blog, many of you will probably remember Sheri. Chances are, if I photographed your wedding between 2005-2008, Sheri was with me. What you may not know, is that she not only assisted me with weddings up until this last year but that she has been one of my very best friends for the past 17 years! Yes, typing that 17 year part does makes me feel old but I am so thankful and proud that I have always had her there for that many years. We have been through everything from high school drama to college, marriage, buying houses, starting careers and starting a family. She has always been the one person I knew that I could count on to be honest and truely be my friend. She is an incredible person and I am so incredibly blessed to have had her put up with me this long =) Last June, Sheri was on the other side of the camera as she and wonderful and just as awesome hubby, Nick, had their own wedding. Then, in January of this year we got the exciting news that Sheri was pregnant!!! In some ways it seems like it has taken forever for Natalee to get here and in some ways it seems like it went by really fast. Yesterday, however, we were definitely on the side that seemed like it took forever. The anticipation of her arrival started yesterday just before lunch. After many hours of effort, she finally arrived at 2:00 a.m this morning! Natalee made her entrance with just her new mommy and daddy in the delivery room and everyone else down the hall, eagerly waiting to see her. I must say that even if I wasn’t partial, I would still have to say that she is one of the cutest little girls I think I have ever seen! Congratulations Sheri and Nick and to all the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends that are so excited about this sweet bundle of joy. She is already greatly loved!

What a sweetie! She weighed 8lbs 8oz and was 20 1/2 tall!

AAHHH technology- love it until it fails you and then one little glitch can cause all kinds of stress! As of late last night, I found out that apparently over at least the past couple of days or maybe even more, that my contact form on my website is not working! Jenny, from Premiere Weddings, had referred a client to me. The client had completed the contact form and guess what?? It never appeared in my inbox! I thought maybe it was just slow coming through but it still wasn’t there this morning. Apparently my host site is having problems with their contact form. I have replaced the old contact form with a new one and after a series of testing, it has corrected the issue. If you have tried to contact me and have not received a response, please contact me again or call me. I ALWAYS answer inquires, even if I am not available for the date. I am so sorry if you have tried to contact me through the website and haven’t heard anything! It is corrected now, so please try again or feel free to call me!

There is so much that I could say about Jaymee and Taylor’s wedding. Being able to share and document their relationship and their wedding was great! They are so incredible with each other and their personalities toward everyone around them radiates their happiness. I had a blast shooting with them and getting to just hang out, talk and have fun. The ceremony was held at Decatur Highway Church of Christ and the reception was at one of my favorite locations- B&A Warehouse. All of the bridesmaids and the groomsmen were great and loved to have fun! I I LOVE when everyone wants to have a good time and it always makes everything interesting to see what we can all come up with. For instance, there is a random shot of the guys in an El Comino, which happens to be a favorite of mine. No, it didn’t belong to anyone in the wedding party, in fact, we don’t know who it belonged to! It was just parked along the side of the parking lot. We just couldn’t resist the suggestion of hopping in the back really quickly to take a picture- hoping the whole time that the little prize didn’t have an alarm. =) Needless to say we were all laughing hoping the owner wasn’t somewhere peaking out a window or about to walk out the door and wonder why everyone is in the back of his car. We also got some fun shots from the photobooth that was set up at the reception. This is the only time I have set up a photobooth but loved going through the pictures. I laughed so hard at so many of them. There was lots of randomness from the booth but that is the point and it was all fun! Jaymee and Taylor-I am so glad that I had the priviledge of sharing in your wedding! I loved every minute and you both are awesome! Thanks for choosing me as your wedding photographer! Also, a big thank you again to Amanda Pair for shooting with me! If you are looking for family or children’s photography, check out her site- http://amandapair.com
Here’s a peak at some favorites-

Loved the flowers! Compliments to Flower Stems on their awesome job- http://www.flowerstems.biz

I just think they are both gorgeous!

Amanda captured this one of Jaymee giving the kids a high five for their job well done!

The kids were so great and sooo cute!

These guys were hilarious! Their whole series of photos made me laugh while I was editing them.

Spiderman made an appearance at the reception! I think he was undercover during the wedding but I did notice he was wearing the same shoes as the ringbearer.....

an all time favorite!

Love this one and the one below- which Amanda also captured! Kudos to her for all of her effort and teamwork!

XOXOXO!!
